Puppy Love

Tonight I went to see “The Osmond’s”. (I can hear you all laughing).

My mom got tickets from work, plus her boss wasn’t using his tickets. So, she gave hers away and we got G.A. seats. (She works for the church) We sat right up front, very impressive.  I ran into two old friends before we went in, Marrdy and Janna. What a great surprise!

One of my mom’s friends canceled so she said I could bring Chris. He too laughed when he heard “Osmond’s” and quickly passed so Caely and I had a daughter/mom date

(I’m having hair issues)

We went out to dinner to Applebee’s @ Gateway, Caely’s favorite place.

We then headed to the concert through Temple Square,

where we met my mom.

There are a few things I learned tonight.  First, the Osmonds are very talented. I appreciated the show, but the are very cheesy and so are their older songs. Second, the MoTab Choir should not do “Jazz Hands”. Other than that they had a great show.

Side note: I found a high school friend who plays for the Orchestra on Temple Square, Justin Moon. I also ran into Larry and Jackie Corbridge and their sons Tyler and Chase. Larry was my dad’s dear friend when I was little and he was our Stake President. His oldest son is Tyler and I had the biggest crush on him in high school. (Sally and Jacqui, I know you’re laughing)

Caely thought Marie was beautiful. We’ve decided she should grow her hair long like Marie’s. On the way home I asked Caely what her favorite part was and she said, “just being with you”. I feel the same way. Thanks Caely for the date! And, thanks mom for the invite. We both had a really nice time.

  1. Eww… the MoTab doing jazz hands? I’m going to have nightmares now, thanks.

You are so lucky you got to go! We were going to go over to the stake center tonight to watch, but I forgot I told Shana we’d watch her kids. They didn’t get back until 11:00! Hopefully, someone at the building taped it. Or someone with BYUTV tivo’d it.

Now that’s a good excuse for cable if I ever heard one, we need BYU TV!

  2. That is so sweet that you and Caely got to go together. She is SUCH a sweet girl! I”m glad you had fun, Osmonds and all. 😉

  3. So the osmonds were on the spoken word this morning. Faa has no idea who they are, he was not impressed with the MoTab and the Jazz hands either. But he thought they were great. I thought they were super CHEEZY!! But it was a good laugh… I am glad you had fun.. I cannot wait for mom and daughter date. Right now our dates consist of the park and Mcdonalds.. Exciting!!

  4. Chris,
From one friend to another, I am proud of you. You have come a long way my son but you still have much to learn.
Good job, cause if you would’ve went I would have laughed and made fun of you for at least, I dopnt know minimum of 5 years. Sniff sniff sorry I am a little teared up.

Emily I wouldnt be being myself if I wouldnt have posted something on this.

  5. I’m not laughing at you!! Although I thought the whole thing would be pretty lame. But I really did love the show. That Donny is still one hot number. (Oh course he was a hearttrobe when I was a teenager!)
