More Ben and Josh Adventures

Yesterday the boys put together a lemonade stand. It was so cute, they made signs and helped make the punch. I had to run to the store to get cups, they were very determined to have their stand, they kept asking, “have you gone to the store yet?”. Thanks to those who appeased them. They each made $1.50 (most of it from my other kids, i.e. me).

My kids also kept asking all day, “when are we going to see Joshua?” (the other cousin in town this week). So we headed to Grandma Leslie’s for a quick dip in the pool.

I had Enrichment later that night. We learned to make freezer jam, I am truly impressed, but it doesn’t take much to impress me. Then we had a demonstration on decorating cakes with Fondant. I know I will never be that cool, but the cakes were beautiful. Heidi did an amazing job and I’m sure she jump started some new talent in our ward.

After cleaning up (okay, so everyone else cleaned up while I chatted away) I gathered the last few things and stopped to chat with Amanda. We ended up in my car talking until way too late (1:30am), but it was well worth it. I’m sure she learned way too many things in my “closet” that I shouldn’t have shared, but I’m grateful for the listening ear. Any other takers on staying up too late and talking- it’s an open invitation.

Today we said good-bye to Ben, but not before we introduced him to Rock Band. Just another way for me to drive my sister crazy! He had a great time, we should have pulled it out sooner. Again, any takers? We love to play!

We even got his Grandma Jeanie in on the action!

This afternoon Nicole (Josh’s mom and my sister-in-law) came in from Chicago and they stopped by for a visit. It wasn’t long before we started the jam session with them.

This is Chris’ brother Scott and his mom, she’s such a good sport!

We had just enough time to throw some cookies together and they were off on their next adventures. I look forward to spending time with them before they leave. I’m sure it’s hard when you have so much family and lots of friends to fit in, in such a short time. More fun to come!
